BOTULINUM WRINKLE RELAXATION Injections
Q. What is ‘Botox’?
A. ‘Botox’ is a registered brand name for Botulinum Toxin. Botulinum causes temporary paralysis to muscles so is perfect for relaxing those facial muscles that cause wrinkles. It does not shrink skin and must be administered under strict medical guidelines and prescribed by a qualified medical prescriber. All my clients are thoroughly checked for suitability for this treatment. Do not have treatment which does not comply with the law, you may be putting your health at risk. It is essential that you know where your Botulinum comes from and your treatment is carried out by a registered, qualified & insured professional.
Q. Is having wrinkle reducing injections dangerous?
A. There has been millions of Botulinum injections administered over many years. Botulinum is used in hospitals daily to treat patients. Botulinum is as safe as any prescription medication. All Botulinum used in my clinics is properly prescribed after you have had a medical interview before treatment to ensure you are suitable for wrinkle relaxation. Your health & safety is a priority in my clinics.
Q. Will it hurt?
A. You may experience a small amount of discomfort during treatment but it is minimal, many client report feeling nothing at all. If you are concerned about pain we will discuss how best to manage any discomfort prior to your treatment.
Q. I’m afraid I will look ‘frozen’.
A. Every client has different expectations from their treatment. Some clients want to look frozen however most simply want to eliminate their wrinkles and not their expression. I prefer to work to achieve a more natural youthful appearance. After your first treatment I can gauge for future treatment how much change has occurred and, going forward I can administer your relaxant to achieve your desired look.
Q. I’m afraid my face will look distorted.
A. When you have your first treatment I will assess the natural movement in your face and carefully administer relaxer in small doses specifically targeted in certain places to retain the natural balance. When wrinkle relaxing injections are properly administered it is rare for any distortion to take place.
Q. How long will my treatment last?
A. Every client will metabolise the product differently but on average a treatment every three months should maintain a smoother wrinkle free skin.
Q. I’m a smoker and I love to sunbath, how will this affect my treatment?
A. Smoking and sun expose are very bad for the skin, restricting blood flow, thinning the skin and causing deep wrinkle, dehydration with surface and deeper dermal damage. A combination of Dermal Fillers and Wrinkle Relaxing Injections may be needed however treatment may not be as success full or last as long on damaged skin.
Q. It’s an expensive treatment; do you offer any discounts or special offers?
A. I offer a loyalty bonus which can reduce the cost of your treatment, ask me when you make you first appointment. I like to reward my loyal repeat clients rather than offer discounts to new clients. This is a professional service and is not a discounted treatment

Dermal Fillers
Q. What are dermal fillers?
A. Injectable fillers are compounds of hyaluronic acids, collagen & biosynthetic polymers. These fillers are temporary and are eventually re-absorbed, safely into the body. The fillers I use do not contain any animal by-products.
Q. Where would I have Dermal Fillers.
A. Naso Labia lines that run from the nose to the mouth, wrinkles in lips, sagging skin under the lip which form ‘marionette’ lines, to fill thinning lips, give the cheek a youthful fullness, remove by lifting the tear trough under eyes and defining the cheek bones, Cheeks to define the Cheek bones or fill out where volume has been lost, Non surgical Rhinoplasty to smooth out bumps and give a more pleasing profile, liquid face lift to emphasize the jawline.
Q. Is the treatment painful?
A. I manage you pain thoroughly throughout your treatment. I don’t want you to feel any pain or discomfort when having your treatment. If you are concerned about discomfort during your treatment I will discuss with you methods of diminishing and eliminating any pain during your treatment.
Q. Is It Safe?
A. All dermal fillers used in my clinics are from reputable pharmaceutical companies who have manufactured dermal fillers for many years with constant scientific research to continue to improve their products. All fillers are batch numbered and recorded in your records. without proper accredited training and insurance I would not be able to get 'legal' dermal filler.
Q. I don't want a 'Trout Pout'
A. All treatments are carried out to match the clients' expectations. Fillers are administered to rejuvenate the skin or lips just enough to plump up the skin and eliminate the signs of ageing.
Q. How long will my filler last?
A. We are all individuals and the body will natural remove the filler over time, as it does naturally during its process of renewing every cell in the body. On average top up treatments are usually about 6 to 12 months; some clients need top-ups sooner than others. Results are dependent on the health of the skin and type of filler used. I use a number of different grades of dermal fillers to tailor my treatments to every client’s skin.
Q. What if I don't like the effect of the filler?
A. If the filler is not for you or decide to have it removed as a specialist trained in the dissolving of filler I will use hyaluronidase to dissolve it away.
Q. Will I be left will sagging skin?
A. No, the filler is very light in weight and does not stretch skin it simple lifts the skin. A single syringe, which is what would normaly be used in any treatment holds 1 ml of filler which isn't enough to cause permanet stretching of the skin.

A' As with any treatment there is always the risk of long term damage however with experience and on going training I feel confident that I can minimise the risk and only treat clients who I feel have the appropriate skin type for treatment. I will always do a full medical review prior to treatment.
PERMANENT MAKEUP/MICROBLADING
I am registered with Enviromental Health at all clinics, it is the Law that premises must be inspected and registered.
Q. Does Permanent Makeup Hurt?
A. No, your comfort is managed at all times. I apply a topical anaesthetic to the area to be treated. I assure my clients that at all times they are in control of their treatment and if at any time they experience any discomfort I stop and re-apply the anaesthetic until they are comfortable to proceed. Everyone’s pain threshold is different but recently my client went to sleep having her lips done, I had to wake her up at the end of the treatment.
Q. What is the difference between Permanent Makeup and Semi Permanent Makeup?
A. There is no difference between the two, as the treatment in its modern form is relatively new the terminology hasn't been very clear. All permanent makeup that is applied to the skin under the epidermis is permanent. It will fade over time, between 1 to 4 years.
Q. Is the treatment permanent?
A. Yes the treatment is permanent however as with any natural pigment it will fade over time depending on exposure to light and the client’s metabolism. Under normal everyday conditions your treatment will fade out over several years before you would need a top up to re-enforce the colour. Once the pigment is placed in the skin it is there forever. Heavy exposure to sunlight or sunbeds will accelerate the fading process.
Q. Is Permanent Makeup & Cosmetic Tattoos the same as a Traditional Tattoo?
A. No it’s completely different. A traditional tattoo is placed into a lower level of the skin, into the Dermis and Inks are used. Permanent Makeup is applied into the upper layer of the skin, the Epidermis. Pigments not inks are used.
Q. How long will it take to have treatment?
A. You will be with me between two and three hours depending on the complexity of the treatment.
Q. Will I have scabs on my skin and will it fade.
A. The Skin and Epidermis will have been abrased with the treatment so some flaking may occur. You will be given an aftercare balm to apply to your treatment to help to seal the area. It is essential to keep the area dry during the healing process, and be aware that the treatment may fade or disappear entirely for a period of time; this is all a natural part of the healing process as the damaged skin above the treatment will become clouded and will natural slough off to reveal the pigment underneath. Any faded or missing pigment will be addressed at your re-touch appointments. Everyone’s skin is different so the healing process will not be the same for everyone. Unlike a traditional tattoo where inks are used to go to the deeper dermal layer permanent makeup sits in the upper layer therefore is a much more delicate process. Please note for the process to properly heal the first retouch cannot be done for 4 to 6 weeks after the first treatment.
Q. Can I have this done at home?
A. No, this is a specialist treatment and must be done by a Therapist registered and insured by the Local Authority working form suitable premises that have been inspected for Health & Hygiene. You must not allow yourself to be treated by an unregistered therapist in unlicensed premises as you may expose yourself to the risk of infection from HIV, Hepatitis and other blood born viruses.
